Livery yards - Long Ashton / Failand / Leigh Woods - Bristol

Hi All,

I know there is an old thread on the same topic but hoping for a bit of an update. I'm looking for a part / assisted livery on a yard in or around Long Ashton - Failand - Leigh Woods area. Ideally with a school that has use of flood lights, all year t/o & access to hacking (which hopefully won't be a problem in this area !).

I've done a bit of looking online etc but they seem to be quite hard to find contact details for & a drive around Failand resulted in some tresspassing onto peoples private yards, as quite a few people have schools & stables in their gardens - lucky things!!

So any help, recommendations & contact details would be much appreciated,

Have you checked out the Bristol & South West groups on fb? I only know a couple of yards in that area, and would hesitate to recommend either of them.

Thanks TwoTurtleDoves, yes that may be my next port of call once I've advised my current yard we're considering moving.

There are quite a few yards in and around that area as its very horsey. I work fairly locally to this area - dont keep my horses locally to that area though. What about contacting the local vets. There is a very big one actually in Failand, Bushey Equine. The staff there are very helpful and may be able to help you out, with contact detals etc or point you in the right direction. Also, what about trying local tack shops like Murphys? Would re-iterate the comment about the South West Horse Group as well, not recommended.
