Hi all

Unfortunately I am having to look for a new yard and am looking for some help - most places don't seem to advertise!!!

In an ideal world (i know its not likely to exist!) I would be looking for a yard where:

- Rocky can be turned out in a herd (he is happier in company)
- I can have a stable with an alternative biodegradable bedding
- The hacking is good
- The school has a decent sand or rubber surface
- I can have DIY livery.... but possibly could team up with someone for mornings/evenings
- Grazing isn't restricted too much when wet
- There is a good amount of grass so we don't struggle too much with weight in winter

If anybody knows of anything that remotely ticks some of these boxes, please can you let me know?

Thanks in advance,
Fiona

Hi
My friend has a yard about 4 miles from Winslow (between padbury and east claydon) but I think she does full livery only. However I am sure there are a couple of other yards directly in that area that are DIY and the hacking is great around there. Is that area ok or too far for you? I also know of some others depending on exactly where abouts you are after?

I think I may have mentioned this one before but is Drayton Parslow too far for you. Im sure it ticks most of your boxes, cant remember the name but have a number if you need it.

That area is fab for me!!! anywhere that is approx 10 mins from Winslow is fab.
I would consider part livery if its not too costly :)

Hello :)

I went and looked at the yard you mentioned, but it took a wee while to get there so wouldnt really be feasible before work.

Thank you tho :) Hope you are well

Here is one, no personal experience but looks nice.

If that is no good then pm me and I will send you my friend's mobile as even if she can't do it (think she only takes full livery) then she should be able to point you in the direction of the other local DIY yards (think there is one run by a Marrion and one run by Amber or Abby or something, can't remember the details but my friend should know).

I think I have just been given the telephone number of the girl called Abby - next on my list to call :)

Burcott Hall Farm in Wing does DIY, assisted and full. DIY is £37.50 inc hay/straw. Has 300 acres hacking, very good grazing, school, good stables etc. I can give you the number if you want?

Liscombe Park does livery again in Wing..
