I recently (about two to three weeks ago) saw a reply to a post from a livery yard I think near Stroud in Gloucestershire. I think it was near Cranham or that side. Didn't bookmark it as had a link to thier website so - have trawled through loads of posts - lost the will to live - but can't find it. Does anyone know of it or have any recomendations for yards in the Stroud area need part or full livery with some facilities e.g school with lights as will have to ride in the evening.

Always kept Ferdie at Billow farm in gloucestershire. About a 20 minute drive from Stroud if the traffic is good. It's a big BHS approved place - good all year grazing - turnout every day (apart from when the hunt are about) 2 floodlit outdoor schools - one 20x40 for flatwork and one 25x60 for flatwork and jumping. There is a big 30x 45 indoor school and also a 20x20 indoor for lunging. In winter the hacking is ok but a bit dull, in summer all the farm tracks are opened up - which means you can ride for an hour or so around the farm without having to use any roads - there are also a few xc fences and a little water crossing.

It's not perfect there by any means, but it's not very bitchy (because there are 'proper' grand prix dressage riders on site, no-one gets the superiority complex!!) and the lady who runs the place does care about the welfare of all the horses.

We were there for 8 years - so can't have ben too bad!
