Hi,

Just wondered if anyone knows of any nice yards in that sort of area. I'm currently living in West Hampstead in the week and currently have my horses in Orpington/Bromley on DIY. Early mornings are starting to kill me though

I really like my yard in Orpington (junction 4 M25) but thought I would enquire to see if there was anything nicer in and around the M1 area...

Ideally it would have a nice school and some jumps, and also turnout all year round. If they did a assisted DIY then that would be great, otherwise a part-livery could be an option provided it isnt too pricy

It would also be lovely if there were other people there who compete, BSJA or BE!!

Thanks

I used to live in West Hampstead and we kept our ponies in Mill Hill - Mote End Farm is close to the station but no idea on prices. There used to be a few yards around there though so worth a look

someone said mote hil is ££££ on here recently... try mcellend farm in bricket wood, your commuting time would be majorly cut down! or loads of yards in st albans which is half an hour from there - patchetts in watford but that also is £££££

Wild Farm in Radlett would fall into your search area - I have my horse there and it is lovely - www.wildfarmequestrian.co.uk

thanks - it does look lovely. I think it may be a bit out of my price range though

I'm on DIY at the moment, and probably spend a total of about £400 per month for livery, hay, feed and bedding - thats for 2 horses!!!

I do have the time to muck out myself, so would feel a bit over indulgent to pay someone else to do it

Hadnt even thought about it much until I spoke to my mum last night and said how tired I was, so she suggested I should look around. I really dont want to leave our yard though!! Just may be more difficult over the winter.... No harm in looking

I used to live in that part of the world. Hill Farm in Radlett was nice, also as someone mentioned above Andrew McClelland's yard, I think it's called Little Munden Farm. Fruit Farm in Letchmore Heath was also nice. All of those have what you need and did DIY.
I haven't been to any of them for a while as I've now moved out of the area, so can't vouch for what they are like now!
