hello, please can i have a bit off advice? if you was looking at putting your horse on a livery yard what will be the main key facilities that you would look for and also what facilities would be a bonus?

For me, the things that are important are:

Turn out (although I don't get turn out from Jan-March where I am, there is a corale area that we can use in Winter and they go out every day in Summer).
A school with jumps.
Plenty of hacking.
Nice stables with electric.
Small yard, hate bitchiness and 'politics'.
Assistance, i.e. t/o, bring in, feed in the morning etc.
A nice atmosphere.
Security.

thankyou for your replie

turn out is a definate for me all year round and i like 24/7 turnout in the summer but its not necessary.
i love indoor stables so when it is belting it down i can tir him up inside.
good lights especially in winter.
a hosing down area and decent hosepipe.
but beware even small yards are bitchy too because of clickyness
