What does everyone pay for DIY and what do you get for it? (do you have to do your own repairs, maintenance etc)
If you don't want to post it, PM me.
I'm curious as DIY seems very expensive in my area (Surrey £160+)

Herts DIY was £40 pm. That included basic field maintenance but not if horse trashed something. Decent yard and good YO, not much grass but T/O 10 hours summer, 6 winter and mares had a field a mile away available for 24/7 T/O in summer (the mares got on better and there were more mares than geldings) I think £40ish is standard for home counties for a decent yard tho a rougher place might be less.
 
i am in surrey i pay 160.00 for diy but there are some yards that are 125.00 but i would say on average 160.00 the going rate with good facilitys and great hacking alos our yard sell hay and bedding at a very reasonable rate unlike other yards in the area that rip their liveries off for hay and bedding and say you can only buy it off them

£150 stable & grazing, plenty of storage space, secure tack room, includes school lights (some places charge extra for that)
YO carries out all repairs, he poo picks the fields with machinery, delivers all hay, bedding and feed to your section at very good rates. Each herd has 2 fields which are rotated and well looked after, he also offers services which are at very reasonable prices.
 
Basic is £140 for stable and automatic waterer
Mats extra £10 per month
Either haylage or straw is extra £20 per month
Both haylage and straw is I think extra £30 per month.

Dedicated fields, might restrict turnout in absolute sodden weather.
2 Indoor schools one outdoor. Only 1 indoor has good surface ( well at least the best of the 3)
Limited hacking.

Assisted bring in turnout if required etc.

They generally have to do most repairs to fields etc but often not in good timescales, but think if your horse really trashed box etc you may be expected to assist.

I'm West Sussex /Surrey boarders and paying £130 per month.

Excellent off road hacking, outdoor flood lit sandschool, group turn out all year around, yard manager on site and offers assistance to part livery if you need it. Friendly farmer supplies hay and straw if you want it at average prices. Friendly liveries.

I have been on cheaper yards, that had good facilities but limited hacking - which is something I would pay more for.
 
Seems like everyone is on better deals then me! We have to poo pick our own paddocks and more recently we've had to do our own maintenance, like supply our own fencing, energisers etc. I've never been at a yard where I've had to do all this!
 
DIY yard in Essex. £25 per week.

24/7 summer turnout, all day turnout in winter.
Not fab grazing (but thats good for me because I've got a good do-er!)
Multiple paddocks for restriction/sickness etc
Jumping paddock (with small xc jumps)
Ok hacking (mostly road work but there is access to a long canter/gallop strip, a big field and the sea front).
Outdoor ménage, pretty small but does the job.
Small lunging pen.
Nice big stable.

Hay/bedding etc all extra.
 
£27 a week
Stabling, turnout, storage for hay, space in tack room. use of 3 maneges (big one we pay per use and for floodlights), hacking.

Hay/feed/shavings extra. I change my own lightbulbs as and when.

thats cheap£40 per month!
 
I've always had to do my own poo picking - my current yard is the first yard I've not done any.

All the liveries including YM club together for maintence.

£30 a week, 8 acre field with 4 mares in, nice big stable, nice outdoor and good hacking, all year turnout whatever the weather!

Hay straw extra!!

where abouts are you at that price?
 
I'm Essex and currently paying £32.50 just for DIY but HAVE to have services all week due to restricted t/o times I work full time. with bedding and 2 bales of hay a week I am paying............. £70-80 A WEEK!!!!

I get nice menage, individual paddocks that we have to poo pick daily and make sure water is topped up at all times, hacking not great at all... infact only been out once in last 5 mths as nowhere to go :(
Lunge pen lovely sized stables, storage for feed and small amount of space in tack room.
 
leeds - £76 a month for good all year turnout (24/7 april to december) and stable. Hay, bedding etc extra.
We have an outdoor school and a fab yo who does all yard repairs, puts up starvation paddock fencing when asked.
 
kent. 1 yard diy grass livery.use of stable if needed,water and elec and own field for mine is 65 pcm per pony.no school and poor fencing though.
2nd yard.diy inc am feed and turnout.indoor school and all year turnout.nice stable and limited storage. is 145pcm for pony box.
can do extras like bring in, rug change, full livery for day etc for extra costs.
both yards up same road and good hacking.
 
Herts £130pcm. Get stable, grazing, use of school and storage/tack room included in the price. Yard owner doesnt intefere, theres people to do services but everyone helps each other out as well and the yard managers do a good job of maintaining fields and fencing etc! Turnout overnight if wanted in summer and just daytime winter but the fields are "open" all year round and actually the winter fields have been very well maintained (as have summer ones) and have a plentiful covering of grass at the moment still!

There are cheaper yards in the area with similar facilities but the people on the yard are so lovely its worth paying a bit more for after some of the experiences I have had :)
 
Herts £25.00 per wk includes stable and all year turnout. Can keep out 24/7 if you wish. Own fields and use of school. Hacking very good. Parking of lorry included as well.
 
We pay £44 per week in the West Midlands/Warwickshire border for DIY over 15hh and this used to include all the haylage/hay you wanted, but now there is a charge of £2.50 a week for that I believe. This DIY includes either a free turnout or bring in weekdays only, boots on/off and feet pick/leg wash extra. We have full use of 130 x 45m menage, indoor walker and small indoor lunge area. Big American type barns, so always nice and dry.

My monthly bill normally averages approx £215 per month DIY as my friend and I turn out weekdays/weekends between us so save approx £10 per week on this. On the whole I love the yard I am on, the people and staff are lovely, and think the price is fairly good for what we get although I certainly wouldn't want it increasing anymore in price.

£115 for DIY in great tey [between colchester and braintree] well maintened ,friendly,good hacking large outdoor [good surface]seperate lunging area individual paddocks all year turnout secure as owner lives on site :)

Where are you darkhorse123? Currently looking at yards in North Leeds/Harrogate type area.

Ouch!

A tenner a week here... Stable, automatic water feeders, car park, all year turnout, outdoor menage, tack room and feed/bedding storage shed...

You have to sort out your own bedding and haylage but there's no restriction on bedding type and you can get a same day delivery of haylage from the farmer...

It is totally DIY though... No options of 'extras' such as bringing in or feeding unless you can arrange something with another livery... We have landed on our feet finding it though...

It's a working farm so the kids get to help out with orphan lamb / calf feeding... :)
