Livery Yeovil Area

Hello eveyone,
wondering if anyone can help?? I moved to Yeovil recently and have had my youngster away being broken for last few weeks and he is almost ready for a rest and some gentle hacking, problem is I dont have a yard to move him too!
I am ideally looking for something within a 10mile radius of Yeovil on either DIY or part livery, ideally with a school but if hacking is decent enough that is not really important! Can anyone help or know of any yards?

Have you tried going into the horsey tack shops and asking? There is a shop in Montacute which looks like it's just a post office, I think it's called STAX, they are local horsey people and I'm told that area has good hacking.

Thanks Horsimous! I have tried going to STAX a few times but they always seem to be closed! lol!! I will try them again next time I get a day off in the week! not overly sure where other tack shops are as very new to area, have tried mole valley and will go out to ridemore next time I go that way. thanks again though.

You could also enquire in Highwood (Warrior Ave in the Lufton Trading Estate) as they have a notice board. Oh, and Henry Bowers in Chard is a mine of information

Do try to get to Stax, a great source of local knowledge, helped us when we looked around there before buying own land. Very horsey area, am sure you will find something soon. There are a couple at Somerton but thats probably too far, only one has an arena though. There's a place near Chilthorne Domer which breeds Arabs, and i think they do livery, will try to find out more for you. When we came here i literally drove into places and asked, was never chased off the place, just pointed in the right direction

Hi

There's a large livery yard in Sparkford, they have arena's & XC course etc. I don't know if they have any spaces but it may be worth a try. I live out near Ilchester, I'm fairly sure one of the smaller yards down the road from me has some space (they have an outdoor arena and there's got some good hacking round here). If this is the right side of Yeovil for you then let me know and I'm sure I can put you in touch with various people who may be able to help.
