Livery

Mine at home too have been for 12 years only downside is since my daughter stopped riding it is pretty boring should take on a livery:)

DIY- although in winter horses are fed and turned out as part of DIY so only have to go once a day. In summer (out 24/7), still go once a day as YO checks horses in morning and other liveries who go in throughout the day keep a check too.

DIY but you can add an array of services all priced individually so you can tailor your livery to your budget and needs rather than paying for services you might not use.
Also makes it a bit cheaper in the summer months as your not using turn out, bring in, feeds being chucked in etc etc

Does mean you have to keep track on what you use on a day to day basis as i've been charged in the past for things she didn't do and it might sound petty to quibble over £1.50 for a turnout but when it's a weeks worth of turn outs and bring ins it adds up (£15) on top of your normal bill for example.

You have to buy your hay, straw and haylege from them which is expensive compared to other yards in the area or when buying in yourself and you can shop around but on the other hand its on site and delivered to your stable door on a weekly basis so i don't mind as it saves me hunting around and risk not being able to find any.

I'm on full Mon-Fri (doesn't include exercise) and DIY weekends. But from July onwards I will be on DIY as moving to be closer to Billy and I cannot wait! I have missed having sole responsibility of my boy so much, it will be fab :)

Full 7 days a week because I work away quite often & she likes routine. Away all week this wk so could do with a horsey scratch & sniff. Miss going to yard.

Up till two weeks ago had always been on diy suited old pony fine as wasn't fussed about being stabled aslong as there was food. Now on grass livery and new pony is loving living out 24/7, so much more chilled as he was getting silly to turnout from being stabled every night even if they were out everyday and no mucking out!
