hi all, looking for diy livery around the stafford area, would consider penkridge, dunston, cannock, eccleshall, stone or newport, for a 4 year old recently backed mare

good hacking is a must and an arena would be ideal. hay on site is preferred too! please let me know any recommendations and/or contact numbers too please! thank youu

Good luck, there are an awful lot of not great yards in your area - some are very poor turnout wise, some are very poor care wise and some are frankly owned by shazbot's

Parrotts in Tittensor (ST12) but may be too far out of your area? DIY, on-site hacking, two outdoor arenas, hay and bedding on site (purchased separately) and all year 24/7 turnout. Message me if you need a contact number.

Buxton's on the A34 (I think it classes as Teddesley Coppice, location wise) would give you good access to riding on Cannock Chase, but I have no idea how good a yard it is - I just drive past every week.

The hacking onto the Chase would be great from Buxton’s, just the A34 to cross to get to it, but it’s lots of tiny looking turnout paddocks as far as I can see from the road driving past.

Got to be worth checking out because of the fantastic off road hacking.

i had messaged them, i drive past there almost everyday to get to work and have seen the fields, so a bit put off as some dont have field shelters or big paddocks if that makes sense, have seen the good hacking though but i did think could always box up there?

Yes, there are car parks you could definitely box to for riding on the chase (and would definitely be worth doing). I think there’s another yard over Milford way too that you can ride directly onto the chase from (a friend used to have a share horse there), but I don’t know what it’s called or if it’s still open.
