I have a Liveryman Harmony Plus clippers that I bought less than a year ago that have completely stopped clipping! I fully clipped one Connemara pony last year without problems and put them away for storage. Today I took them out, fully charged the clippers and tried clipping. It cut just enough hair to make a bald patch the size of a small plate on a horses head and stopped cutting!! The blades are moving back and forward but just not cutting hair. I have taken them apart/put back together multiple times and sometimes they’ll clip a little before stopping, sometimes they won’t clip at all. Blades moving all the time. Could the blades be blunt after one clip? Would they still cut a little before stopping?

You put the clippers away for 12 months & now they won't cut, I think the battery may have sulphated & won't hold charge anymore. You will probably need new battery as with most battery powered tools the batteries normally lose their ability to hold charge. You can contact Liveryman regarding your issues on this link.

I have these clippers, the blades lost the little plastic guide thing and were then too lose to cut, they made a slightly different noise too.

I bought new blades and they were fixed!

I did send the other ones back to be sharpened too, the man who did this re-fitted the guide plastic. So, now I have a spare. :D

I think they are pre pensioned and can't be altered. They are meant to be trimmers not full clip clippers unless fitted with the wider blades, and then as "light duty clippers" are yours the wider blades S ? (The wide blades are a good bit wider than the headpiece and are slanted side not a square shaped blades. A set of wide blades are £ 40 ish with postage)

I have these clippers too, I bought the wide blades as well as the trimmers and they cut really well. I only do chaser type clips but they hold their charge for a good long time. Are yours over heating? They are pre tensioned as said above. Mine have lived for the last year in my tack room and came out again and are up and running. I would consult Liveryman.
