I have no idea on what to do with the blades on the above clippers?!

They were brought for me as a birthday gift and, to tell you the truth, they are actually the most amazing clippers ever!! They clipped my horse all out and gave a really nice finish in little over half an hour! They get through thick feather without any struggle at all. :)

Due to them having (what seems to be) plastic blades on the front and ceramic on the back i havnt a clue if i need to sharpen them, buy new ones or will the last forever? (The later would be great)

Any info gratefully received

Perhaps contact liverman and see if you can buy spare sets (cant see why not as they are just push in).
That said, it might just be cheaper to buy a new set off ebay (got mine for £20 brand new).

Ive sent an email to liveryman asking for some info so hopefully they will get back to me soon.

Im going to buy a spare set but would rather know if i can sharpen them to save me ending up with lots of blades which are no good. I like to recycle you see :D

We have ours sharpened, there are some great companies out there.
The one we use they send a prepaid envelope, you put your blades in along with a cheque and they post them back to you, simple. We have ours sharpened one a year, but clip about 8 horses on one sharpening.
When you send them away they will sharpen them and inform you when they think they cant take any more and then its time to replace them. There is no point buying new blades when you can just get them sharpenend in my opinion.
Hope that helps.
