Hi,

I got these clippers two years ago for Christmas, I was wondering if you have them if you think they are any good. I have done one full clip using them before sharpening.

I cant get the blades to fit correctly on mine, is there a special way to put them on

I got the blades sharpened and this morning they wouldn't even clip him fully I had to borrow my friends to finish off (could be something to do with where I got them sharpened)

What's your thoughts/experience with this clipper?
Thanks.

I bought some because my little cob doesn't like being clipped so I thought they would be better being quiet.

I hate them :( they are crap, the large blades never go through his coat so have to use the small shorter blades & none will go through the hair on his back end at all. Even the day after a bath & with newly sharpened blades, they won't do a thing. I think they may be ok on a very fine haired horse, but theyve no chance on something with more thicker course hair. I only do the dog with mine now :(

I have them, I find they're very good for my warmblood and I did her yesterday. She was pretty fluffy but I doubt her coat is anywhere as dense as a cob's. The wide fine blades go through her coat like butter, the medium blades are completely useless on any length I've found.

I've got a pair of these and think that they are brilliant, I bought them as I was a complete novice when it comes to clipping, so I wanted a quiet battery powered clipper. I also have very small hands, so they are ideal for me.

I use them to do a chaser clip on a 16.3 shire tb x, think I have done 4 of these clips now and never had a problem or had to have the blades sharpened.

I know when I bought them that they said they weren't suitable for thick coats or for clipping lots of horses, but I guess that is why they cost less to buy.

I have some, rubbish do not recommend at all!! Had to send back under warranty because they just stopped working, now have had them back a trace clip on my mare took ages cos they kept over-heating  also one of the sets of blades which were fine before they were repaired, now wont cut anything.

I actually like mine although would say they are better as trimmers, or for clipping a fine coat. Having said that I have hogged and trimmed legs with mine, but made sure they were clean and dry.

Make sure you have the white plastic square lined up well with the blade - if out of sink this can stop them working.

If you still can't get them going, I would contact the manafacturer.

I am glad im not the only one who dislikes them now! I thought they were brilliant the first time, very light, quiet and was very easy to clip.

The paint work has all come off mine too which I thought was strange. I think I will be buying myself some new ones for Christmas and try to sell these second hand.

Thanks :)

I have them and they are s**t!!

Have bought the red rockets to replace them but the harmonys kept not getting through his fur and left the most awful tramlines.

Didn't use them with the mains lead so not sure if it would help but have no intention of trying to find out as am selling the blooming things.

May well be ok on a thin coated warmblood type but not my Welsh D.
