Planning on clipping the mare soon and want opinions on the liveryman wide blades as I've read on a couple of other threads that they didn't seem to cut well? Also read on one thread that someone did a full body clip with the narrow blades..has anyone else done this before and got a good result? Don't want to be clipping for ages and I'd be scared of getting a very liney clip?

I used to clip Genie using the wide fine blades. She's a welsh cob and my first clip is always early, so it worked well. Never had a problem with them, they even managed her legs which naturally would be feathery.

Thanks I just ordered some wide fine blades :) My mare has a warmblood coat that has stayed really nice and short- just now starting to get a little fluff in areas.

Wide fine were very good, wide medium were rubbish. First time I used them (brand new) on an autumn coated warmblood and they were snagging. Fine blades went through like a hot knife through butter.
