Hi, looking for abit of help! We have the fantastic opportunity of moving to West Wales and really not sure which area to move to for the best riding. Looking at buying a property with abit of land but just don't know where to start, access to bridleways more important than the house itself! Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated.

I live near Llanelli and there is plenty of fantastic riding out on lanes and quiet roads and also access onto the mountains whereby you could ride for hours without having to do road work at all. I am lucky in that I live on a lane that is a direct route onto the mountain so I don't need to do any road work at all.

I live in Carmarthenshire too and riding is great .....if you are in the right place. Burry port and pembrey back almost straight onto the beach with the mountain the other side and also close to Peniel and Pibrlwyd for events

Just hope your horsey neighbours don't think u r abandoning them, to keep them happy I would make sure there is a spare guest room and paddock ! Hehe

If you take a look on the BHS website, it has a link that shows all the bridleways on a map, so you can take a look at that and make your decision :)
