Was anyone else hoping to have their horses living out in March? Big fat chance of that judging by the fields - mine looks like lots of puddles joined together by mud! Where is spring, who has stolen it, has anyone found the ransom note, can we all club together and pay the kidnappers?!

we are the same, mud pits at the moment for winter paddocks, and not much hope of getting them out on the grass at the moment as its way too wet, and to be honest i think its going to be a wet spring!
ive had enough and if i find the kidnappers i have some very stern words to say!

Actually [whispers] is not too bad here today: warmish, not too windy, DRY and a hint the sun might come through.

Am told several more inches of rain on Sunday, ford down the road was on the local news last night as it was almost 5ft and some silly woman decided to drive through it - what amazes me is you can see the speed of the water flowing through, lunatic death wish to ATTEMPT to drive through!

I saw the photos of that woman in the paper today Dubsie. Not sure her insurance company will pay out given the photograph showing just how high the water level was but she still chose to drive through it...

Our lower fields are utter bogs but the higher ones are thankfully okay. So ours have been out 24/7 with lots of shelter. Had we not had the hill don't think we'd have got them out for weeks though. Can't believe the weather and hope for all of us - horses and humans - that it dries up soon.

Mine are out all year round. Mud has never caused any issues for mine. I think its actually worse if horses are used to being stabled as they then dont cope with mud well. Our field has had solid snow on it for months now anyway! No mud at all!
