Had an amazing week with Daisy my little cob. On Wednesday we had our regular lesson with David Harland who has worked wonders on my riding in the last 2.5 years. I bought Daisy last December after the love of my life dream horse died within 24 hours from EGS. Daisy was bought unseen and shrunk a hand on the boat over from Ireland.
David pointed out she has a fat body and short legs on Wednesday. I think she took exception to this as she's been super amazing since that lesson:

David jumped her as well for the first time as he felt I have a double phobia. Once he jumped her he said it's her who has the phobia but I'm not helping things. The main thing I had to do was hold my reins the wrong way round to stop me (panic induced!) interfering. This seemed to work really well.
Thursday night we went to a little SJ show and were 2nd in the 70 and won the 80. First win.

Friday we went to a clear round warm up for BS club show, over a BS track and were 2nd in a class of big proper horses over the 80. We got there late after some non horsey problems and I had been aiming at the 70 and 80. So I walked the 90 and thought eep no I'm not jumping that.
Saturday we went to the BS club show. I didn't know this but as she is a pony, at a club show she jumps with the ponies even though I'm not a junior. It wasn't busy so I did the 70 and we were 2nd, did the 80 and I hadn't learned the course well enough (changed every time which is a bit much for my brain!) and stuffed up and we were 3rd.
She felt amazing and she really loves jumping so again I walked the 90 and this time decided to go for it.
And we won! I've never jumped a track that big even in lessons so was so chuffed with her.

Super groom who can walk her off, do up / take off rugs, poo pick the school, adjust jumps, fetch water and did all the videoing at comps for me age 6!
Fairly unimpressed with her haul yesterday:
Daisy has a glycogen storage disorder (PSSM) which at best causes muscle cramps, at worst tying up/death (!). Jumping seems to help her get rid of the glycogen and feel better. In case anyone is wondering about me jumping her 4 days in a row, she's not a normal horse and I try to do the stuff she likes and keeps her well. She needs exercised hard every day to achieve this.
