Went to Llanymynech on Saturday in the blazing heat - was complaining about the rain last time I competed, but this time it was too hot! Never can be pleased!

Hen did a good test and got 34. Jumped double clear and finished 9th. Chuffed to bits with her, she was fantastic xc. Couldn't fault her in any way. Was a decent PN xc track and she was a real pro. SJ was a little bit messy, but clear - can breathe a sigh of relief after my panic following Borde Hill SJ with 3 down! Back to planning her first novice again now!

Hope other HHO'ers who were there that day went well, although I didn't see anyone!

Thats great Mel, well done. You are bound to have the odd blip, we all do! So glad she went well. Which novice are you going to do first?

I was thinking Wilton, but I think I might do another couple of PN's and then do the novice at Burnham Beeches in August. Not been there for a few years, but did novice there before and quite liked it.

Wilton's a good first one, I'm sure she'd be fine there. Grinder did it as his first last year and other than being totally flummoxed by a skinny in the open, he gained lots of confidence from it!!

Well done. You went a long way to event - you must be dedicated. When are you doing your regional finals?

We stayed with friends for the weekend so had a bit of a social as well - we didn't travel there and back in one day!!

PNRF is in 2 weeks at Milton Keynes. We'll see what happens there!

Well Done! It definately was a decent track, caused alot of problems and you had a much better day than I did on Sunday

i think it was the owner of your horse (sorry, can't remember her name!) well we were both talking to your dressage judge because she was looking at the scores & she was very friendly and saying how high the standard was

random piece of info for you there..:)

Of all the people to be parked next to! There really is a HHO'er wherever you go!!!

Yes that would have been Hen's owner - very proud owner at that! Bless her!

Where are you going next? Didn't you say unaff ODE this weekend?

Small world!

Yes - good memory!

We have an unaff. at West Littleton in glocs. hopefully we'll walk the cross country better this time!

Although Pepper doesn't like the idea of medium trot, poor thing.
& then we have Marchington followed by Shipton Moyne..

What's next for you?
