Im looking for a new horse. I'm looking for a 5-9 yr old happy hacker, forward going, not a coloured cob but a cob type, forward going, fun, good looking horse (15 - 16 hh). HOWEVER everything i see on the internet is perfect in every way. Quiet to hack, never put a foot wrong, sad sale, blah blah blah. Now I've been on a lot of livery yards and the perfect happy hacker is actually a rarity in my eyes!!

So are these people full of **** or are there THAT many quiet bomb proof horses out there??

Having been through a horse search with a friend who is a nervous novice I soon began to realise that apart from the absolute nutters offered a lot were unintentionally misrepresented. This was because the owners were experienced riders and dealt with minor problems without thinking about it, once a novice was on board the horse rapidly took advantage. Having said that it has taken some time to get through to the friend that all horses will react at some time at something and she must be able to cope with that.
