After what must be 25 plus hours of several attempts over several days.....She's on !!!!
This afternoon and in the monty halter, we long reined her over tarp which was not easy, then we tried to drive her onto the trailer. We had a partal success with that as her front feet did go on eventally with lots of encouragement and useing a clicker, lots of kisses, reasurance and treats.
All credit must go to Sarah, who just didn't give up though despite the rearing and the cow kicking from Ellie, who was just as determined not to go on. She led her forward, then made her go back using just the halter, over and over and over, I felt exhausted just watching!
Then I led her on and Sarah drove her flicking a rope and all of a sudden she just went!!
I stopped her in the trailer, i couldn't believe it and I made a huge fuss of her, then backed her off. On she went again and backed off without an argument. We did this 4 times and the last time I led her out of the front ramp. She was fantastic!!
Whoo!!!
And a big, big thanks to my friends who it just would not of happened without, all three of them.
Then we went to the pub for a well earned drink.
I'll shall practice every day with her and after a week or so, we'll take her around the block. I just hope she'll go in with the partician back in. I like to think she will.
