Hi

I have possibly found a loan home, and need to sort out a contract but have no idea what to put in it or include. Has anyone got a copy of a contract they use which they could send me?

Thanks xx

Make sure that the contract is checked out by a specialist equine solicitor so that it will stand up in court. Pointless having a contract otherwise.

Have the horse vetted before it leaves you so that both parties know exactly what condition it is in at this point in time.

Also ensure that you have the horse freezemarked on it's shoulder so that if it does disapear that it can be identified by anyone.

Make sure that you take a photocopy of the original driving licence, passport and rates bill of the person loaning the horse so that you know exactly who they are.
