Loan home found! and questions for you

I have found a prospective loan home for Murphy, who lives about 40 miles away in a lovely area of Wales.

She is a qualified AI with her own horses. Murphy will be for her husband to ride out with her, he's a pleasure rider. They will be loaning him for a month with a view to buy, which is great for me as if I get a new job - I could have him back in a month.

I have twiddled the BHS loan agreement, got her details etc. I am keeping my stable at my present yard - incase he needs to come back for any reason. I have asked that she returns him if need be as I have no box of my own.

Is there anything else that you guys think I could do?

Have you covered insurance? I'm sure you have thought about this but please make sure it is in writing (ie who is paying for what and what cover is needed)

Insurance, what the horse can and cannot be used for, equipment supplied with horse, vet, farrier etc. to be funded by the lessee. I have loaned one of my horses out to a family for 3 years on the strength of a BHS loan agreement and it seems to work with a bit of personal tweeking.

yeh I am keeping my stable as I love my yard and to lose myplace would be devastating (I keep him on a very popular yard) so I decided in order to be able to bring him home at any time, I need to have my livery ongoing.
