I am interested to know people's opinions on the following dilemma,

Which would you go for ?

Option 1

Loan a 16.2 ex racer on a busy yard for £60 a week. Everything done for you (full livery)
But yard very strict and not hugely child friendly and horse a bit too big and might not be suitable,

Or

14.3 tb

What are both of the horses like, age, history etc? How experienced are you? Although I work on yards I love DIY as a bit of a control freak with my horse (figured I can be as its only me who looks after him :p) but if quite novice and might need some help having a horse on Full livery may be helpful to have staff/people around who can help if horse goes lame/needs veterinary care etc. But it all depends on your situation really, how long the loan is for and how long you intend on keeping the horse!

Thanks for your reply. I am fairly novice but the farmer is very experienced and I have a great vet. I haven't ridden either yet but 16.2 very placid on ground unless unless last horse to be turned out then gets anxious. he's 10 years old.

Tb x calm, sweet, and 16 years old and much more my size ( from a confidence perspective)
