i think its probably a really good option, but like you say get everything in writing, and fully vet anyone that is interested.

Also i have to add, she is absolutely beautiful, and if i could i would bite your arms off for her. although she's a different breed, she really reminds me of my old mare (lost her last year) - just yours has a bigger star - chestnut in my sig!

Best of luck

wish I had some money in the bank, really want something to work with then do a bit of everything on, an bigger than the rest of my gang who are max 12hh.

You could send her to scotland on a permanent holiday with me

She is beautiful, I would try selling her first otherwise you're gonna get lots of folks who want to loan her forever.

why not advertise her at the price you want them if someone comes along who you think will get on well with her offer them the change to lwvtb if you put it in ad you may have people loan her with no plan to buy her she will then come back, if this happens a few times is going to be unsettling

I agree. I tried advertising my daughters old horse as LWNTB and she went to a family, originaly for three months, they kept making up excuses and extending the loan, and being a trusting soul I went along with it. She came back last Dec in a terrible state, physicaly and mentaly. With hindsight I dont think they had any intention of buying.

If you do do LWVTB then be very careful, visit loads and have a set timescale that they cant alter, even if their granny's cat dies, car blows up or all their fingers fall of so cant go to the bank!

I have done a LWVTB and ended up with a horse I would not have had the guts to take on without the trial. The horse stayed at the same yard as we were already on it (as was the owner) so I suppose not the usual set-up. If I was selling him I would do the same, but would not agree to moving yards.

Thanks, I think she is gorgeous too

I would like to see £2.5k for her, as I paid £5k for her and she is a lovely horse through and through.

That is what worries me about the lwvtb, coming back ruined or unsettled, poor girlie doesn't deserve that.

I think I will advertise her for sale and see if the right home comes along then I will offer her on a 2 week - 1 month trial. I had her on a month trial myself and fell in love so hopefully someone else will do the same
