loaner looking at horses history and past?

hiya, I am just wondering what your opinions would be if a loaner was looking at horses history and past.
This is because i am looking at my loan pony's show results etc. and would love to contact the breeder.. just don't know whether i should.. or whether to just not bother..?

The breeder would probably be interested to know what the pony is doing now.

if i loaned a horse out i would half expect the loaner to be interested in its breeding/past. If you are worried, how bout contacting the owner for any info they know of and asking if they would mind if you continued to research

I'd clear it with the owner first but I don't see why anybody would have a problem with you doing it

In my personal situation I'd be fine with it (heck I'd want a share of the info since I know bugger all about my boy's past) but maybe if you asked the owner about it then they may be able to provide you with a lot of the info you're interested in (they may have been jkust as curious at some point) and hopefully give you the go-ahead if you want to contact the breeder.
