im currently full loaning a horse i plan to do BSJA on and after talking to a friend, they said if they were loaning, they would expect to have the passport. in my experience, when i have loaned my horses out, i have never given the passport with them in fear of the new loan owner selling my horse from underneath me. i know i will be needing the passport for BSJA registration and classes etc, and i also have been told of a rule which states when your transporting a horse in a lorry, you must have its passport on board to prove the horses identity and things. also if for some reason the horse needs to go to Newmarket horse hospital, i will need the passport at hand and what happens if i cant get into contact with owner?
