I'm contemplating loan a welsh sec c for my daughter. Pony is lovely 4 yr old chestnut MARE OOOO scary... No I love my chestnut mares have my own. Anyway. This pony has done nothing but walk with the guy she's with now. She's about 13:3, 14:HH so small enough for light adult older child. Anyway happy enough with pony but owner doesn't seem to know where her passport is. I know with loaning I as borrower must have the passport in case of vet treatment ect..... But I'm not the legal owner. Now do I take the pony on full loan and wait for him to find the passport, or as he's offered to get new passport from the vet.... This would mean the pony is not registered with welsh society and will affect price of pony should I wish to buy it? Or that's my way of thinking as I'd have to register it. Or should I try and find out if it is registered with the welsh pony and cob society ( hope that's the right society). Very confused never loaned before and hear horror stories and seen people get in trouble with loaning ponys that shouldn't have been loaned out ect ect...please can someone help ASAP. Alarm bells are ringing...
