New to this so hope you can help.

I will be looking to loan my mare in a few months, where best to advertise for a 5* home? as she is much loved so must go to right home only.

Also would getting a contract done be regarded as OTT?

Any advise would be great :)
 
Horsemart is very popular you just need to make clear 5* home wanted obviously for your love mare, also you can visit to make sure your happy with the home! :)
 
get a contract done that is read over by a solictor, get proper id from the loaner,. ie a bill passport/driving licence. make sure paper work for horse is in your name. make sure horse is insured.
ideally get horse microchipped.

dont trust ANYBODY no matter how wonderful they seem.

check on your horse as much as possible.

(have been bitten several times and now have a loaner trying to claim my horse.)

im sorry to all the people that do loan and are wonderful but stolen on loan/missing on loan/sold on loan is becoming far to common. with sod all laws to help us its worse than a byer beware situation.
 
Get a contract - you can get one from the BHS website. Also, visit the home several times and have them come to try your horse several times. Visit for spot checks as well as arranged visits.

Good loan homes can be found (I am one, and actually don;t have a contract....) you just need to be careful. Have your horse freezemarked if not already.

Is it the one in your sig with the yellow headcollar? Lovely if so!
