Local advertising - what would you respond to?

I am looking to start advertising my new business, (which I won't go into details on due to advertising rules!) and was wondering if I could get some feedback from some of you HHOers as to what you are most likely to read/respond to?

I was going to advertise in Scottish Rider, Equi-Ads and Scot-Ads, plus I was going to contact local Pony Clubs, BRC, and BE, BD, and BS Scotland to offer an introductory offer, as well as general local press and tack shops/feed merchants etc. How likely would you be to respond to each of these, and are there any other suggestions?

Can't be of much help as I'm in completely the wrong area, but I would say that it's definitely worth creating a facebook page for your new business - everything seems to be linked to facebook now, but I know I've found many local horsey businesses that way - some which I now use time and time again .

You need twitter as well, business to business twitter is amazing.
