I am going to take Zoomy to Chertsey show on Saturday to do the baby jumping (she has only jumped coloured poles once but will still feel silly against the 10 year olds!

).

I think I am going to take her in the best turned out class too for fun since I have never done a class at a show. I don't know what to do about tack though...........I have a brown jumping saddle and brown bridle but only have rubber reins in brown, so I am planning on using my black dressage saddle and bridle. Will this be ok? (I am wearing a navy jacket rather than tweed).

Also, I know it should be judged just on turnout, but Zoomy only has one eye (not just blind - a big crater where her eye should be), will this decrease likelihood of getting placed.

Locally your tack shouldn't matter so long as it's clean!!!

No idea about the eye though... I personally wouldn't have thought it would go against you, but you never know....

Yay your coming

Im not great with showing but your brown tack is nice, and as long a clean and matching should be ok ??

really oyu want a hunter style bridle with either a pelham or snaffle in, what type is the horse? for cob type etc use a plain browband, riding horse or hack type use a coloured browband. colour of tack doesnt really matter as long as it is spotlessly clean and well presented. Quarter marks on the horse. The horse in my sig is a riding horse, i show in tack and turnout. Plait unless a native or cob where they can be hogged or long mane.

for you a navy jacket and hat, or black, no need to run out a buy new kit

. Shirt and tie, is it s ridden class or inhand? ridden cream jods and long boots, in hand cream trousers if horses legs are dark or dark trousers if horses legs are light and shows to run in, brown or black gloves and show cane. hair done neatly in a bun and hair net. Neat and minimal jewelery and makeup.

Brilliant! This is Zoomy in her dressage stuff so was planning on this tack (minus the saddlecloth) and I will wear the same but shirt and tie without stock??

I don't have a brown or black numnah so I think I will show her without one.

ties are more correct for showing but at local level you should be ok

black tacke suits my horse better, hence why i use it

use a numnah thta matches your tack colour or no numnah but test the horse out in no numnah because my horse hates it!
