Local Shows near Leeds?

Hi, was just wondering if there are any local shows near Leeds. Want to go (to at least watch) this year!

What kind of shows? Horsforth is on a few times through the spring/summer. You could check out The Riding Diary for others as there's plenty on round the Leeds/W Yorks area.

Thanks! The Riding Diary is basically what I was after. Just looking for some places to compete for fun as I am quite a newbie!

There's also Weeton, Arthington, Otley & Bingley shows

Ah right, wasn't sure if you were looking for big shows to go watch near Leeds or local ones to compete at. Horsforth is pretty good, there's also Ilkley who do a lot of shows. Both have numerous classes and are pretty friendly. Weeton and Arthington are slightly bigger shows - ie have other attractions and animals (cows, sheep, dog classes etc), plus are aimed at attracting families for a day out so may not be ideal as a newbie to it (I would say weeton's a little quieter out of the two though).

The riding diary is quite handy as most of the local riding clubs advertise their shows on there. I only came across the site last year but have found it pretty useful!
