Just a question that cropped up on the yard today....

If a horse has had an operation on a locking stifle in April this year, should it now be being ridden daily?

Also what are the prospects for said horse, with regards to work load etc?

I presume the owner of the said horse would have been advised by the vet doing the procedure as to prognosis. Additionally advice would have been given as to the amount of exercise the horse should be given & how it should be increased over time?

i'm just interested. We were discussing it and the internet says they should have 12 months off but couple of people at yard said 6 months.

I was interested in other peoples experiences :)
