If you've got any spare hugs, Im sure Tys would love them :(

As if he's not feeling bad enough with his gammy ear, he has to wear a bucket on his head and you post his shame on here?

Agree - LOL :D (and hugs for Tyson)

He's definately fed up with the world at the moment! Hes back at the vets tonight to get stabbed with more needles and no doubt have something shoved in his ear which makes me howl like you wouldnt believe :(

Aw poor lad, he does look pathetic. Ears can actually be really nasty, hope vets are able to sort him out. What exactly is the problem do they know?

No. Its REALLY bad though. The on call vet last night couldn't get inside to have a look as it was too painful for Tyson, but when I gentley move the hair out of the way you can see gunk and blood and inflamedness and its generally really disgusting. Hes walking with his head on the wonk all the times and just whines constantly because its bothering him.

Vet suggested maybe a foreign body stuck in there but he couldnt take a closer look last night. He gave him steroids and pain releif and intibiotic injections and we're off back to the normal vets tonight to see if they can manage to look inside it.

...I have just bought him a muzzle as he very nearly took on call vets face off last night poor lil man :(

It might be better if they sedate him, or even GA so they can have a good luck. A GSD bitch we took in had a history of ear problems, and after ab's etc the vets were no nearer sorting it, so they took her in and had a proper look under GA. She had a perforated eardrum and loads of infection, after a proper clean out and stronger antibiotics it soon cleared up.

Yeah, I think they might have to. Will update this evening once we've been back to the vets.

I know I moan about him on here A LOT, but he's so far from being his normal self its horrid. He jus stands in the corner head down, or lies on the floor with his paws over his cone whimpering :(

So...

He thinks it is just an ear infection albeit a rather painful one. He couldnt have a proper look around as too sore, but aparently its quite a comon thing in GSD's... And he probably got it from...

..... Swimming! Gah!

Hes back to the vets on friday and if the pills we have dont seem to be working they'll knock him out and investigate properly.

Good news he wont be having his head amputated or owt :o

I get really bad ear infecxtiond after swimming, I feel his pain:(
I wear a plastic thig to stop the water getting in.
It' hurts like hell.

Lol at inflamedness:D
Inflammation

Cayla is correcting people on their English! I feel as though I have entered the Twilight Zone. :p:D

Hope he gets better soon poor lad. Ear ache is no bloody fun at all :(

Only cos it's a word I hear/say very frequently and it sounded funny:p :D:D
I only corrected cos it made me chuckle, otherwise I would never be so pedantic, like the bloody grammar police :p:D

Awww poor hooligan...I mean Tyson:D:D

Big hugs for him ( carefully avoiding the poorly ear Dept;):D) and hope he is better soon.

As an aside I stayed at my friends one night and she had a big GSD called Rodney who was wearing the cone of shame. He woke me up trying to play with Sweep(he adored Sweep) and I nearly had a heart attack as in the dark he looked as if he was headless!:D:D

Poor Tyson:( Henry says to think himself lucky though, at least the Cone of Shame is manly, he was forced to wear one of my t-shirts last night to try and protect his stitches (mind you he had removed it by this morning;))

The silly sod lost a chunk of himself when he ran up to a less than friendly dog on Friday. Not the other dogs fault, really, it was on a lead (I was half asleep, Friday night after work is not the best time for me to be alert and awake):o I was just too slow to stop him this occasion:o! I didn't post to avoid getting lectured on recall (hope I won't now - I really don't need one as I have already given it to myself). He is fine, driving me nuts as he's on lead exercise but now in no pain as far as I can see and lapping up all the attention his manly war wounds are getting:rolleyes:

Oh naughty Henry :(:o

No lecture from me, I cant get re call from my dog even when we're both in the living room with all exits blocked and I'm holding half a chicken :( ...He would still rather leap all over the sofas and run in circles like a mad thing than come anywhere near me

Hope Henry isn't too badly affected by his war wounds!

Ahahahahah!

That really made me chuckle!!
Hope all the poochies get better soon!
