Looking to move to London fairly soon but I don't want to give up my riding lessons. Can anyone suggest anywhere within a decent commuting distance from central london? I work in Waterloo.

Thanks

LEC near mill hill east (northern line) is meant to be quite good. Otherwise there are loads of yards near London which you can get to by tube or train very easily (I keep my horse at one!) where you could get a part share

It may be a little far from you at Waterloo, but the London Equestrian Centre at Mill Hill East (end of northern line, 10mins walk from the station) is excellent for lessons.

If it can't be solved by tea, try tea and toast

Depends what you're after:

Trent Park EC (Oakwood, North London...almost end of Picadilly Line - stop before Cockfosters) - very good facilities (2indoors), lots of horses and instructors. Toby there is particularly good (use to coach Dubai SJing team before he was injured).

Lee Valley Riding Centre (East London I think...can't remember exactly where) - good indoor, outdoors not so great. Think they pride themselves more on being hacking place. Their complex is very modern - glass doors looking out onto stables! I've only ridden there in BUCS competitions, so only ridden two horses but both nice.

Oldencraig EC (Lingfield, Surrey...40mins on train from Victoria)- if you fancy treating yourself and like your dressage, then go for some lessons here. They are expensive, but the horses are phenomenal (lots of grand prix schoolmasters, as well as horses trained to medium level if you don't want to spend so much money). Amazing facilities - voted best dressage venue either in 2008 or 2009.
