Long boot recommendations

Please could you post your favourite long boots and why you like them so much?

I need to invest in new pair (for showing and dressage) - I have been looking at Sarm Hippique (sp) and Cavallo but I just wanted to get peoples opinions in case i've missed any in my search

Btw I love the Konigs Grandgester but was concerned that the zip at the front may not be acceptible in showing?!?!
 
i have mountain horse hi rider sportative - really love them - but dont know if they are ok for comp. although they look smart enough to me.
 
Thanks I have a pair of the Sportive High Riders but I find them too chunky for me - they're also way too big around the ankle so I have to wear a couple of pairs of socks!

Looking to upgrade my Dublin long boots really as these are now too big in the leg for me - all the ones I try on seem to be huge around the top and ankle!
 
I love my mountain horse sportives which didn't need any wearing in. They are a bit chunky so not quite so elegant as other makes. I had orignally bought Regency ones but the after the zip broke on two pairs both on the second time of wearing them I gave up and went for the sportives.
 
I use Mountain Horse sportives for everyday - and for this I think they're perfect (wouldn't compete in them) though they did need a bit of wearing in for walking around in! I have to have the kid's size as my legs are too skinny for the grown up ones!

I compete in Sarm Hippiques and love them, the leather is very soft and they didn't need any wearing in

However, these are the only long boots I've had so can't compare them to other makes...
 
I'd go for Cavallo - huge range of styles from the really tough 'german' type ones which last forever but take more wearing in, to the more 'italian' style softer leather which dont last as long but are immediately comfortable. The Winner Plus with the zips up the back are smart and would be suitable for most disciplines.
 
I am aiming for apair of Regent Graftons as my next boots. My sister has the Oakleys which I think are so smart but I want a pair with zips. I also don't like high top bits or the pointless bit of leather down the side so many boots have now.

At the moment I have Kudos ones which were only about £100. They have dropped so much, to the extend that they arn't that comfortable to wear.
 
Get the Sarm Hippique's......... I've got them and they are fab

They are soft from the start, as far as I'm concerned thats a bonus, I don't believe that youu should have to 'break' boots in. They are also really smart, and offer a good range of fittings.
They were the only boots I could find to fit my skinny legs, as well as muscular calves (that makes my legs sound gross!

), with out getting made to measure.
I think they are maybe not a hard wearing as some of the boots available, but that didn't bother me, as I got them as my competition boots.
 
Ive had all different makes but the best fit and most comfortable have been my sergio grassos which I have now, real quality!!
 
I have ariat boots and love them - they are so comfy, even if you wear them day after day at shows and all day, they dont make your feet ache or rub like I ve had with some. Would definatly buy some more
 
I have a pair of brogini's with lace up fronts which I find reduces the time it takes to break in and gives greater ankle flexibility. Come in a large range of sizes and not so expensive you have to take out a loan to buy them.
They are very comfy-I only wear them for competing and use boot trees to help keep their shape.
I have had some difficulty finding really nice long boots as I am very tall with long calfs but these are a great fit, length and width ways-so very pleased with them.
