Can anyone please recommend some long, black leather, competition boots for people who tend to have a longer, lower leg. I'm struggling to find some that aren't too short, with dressage tops. Currently have some Brogini ones which are beautiful but just too short!

I have a maximum budget of around £200.

Thanks!

Try Mountain Horse. I've got long legs as well (5'10" and it's mostly leg...) and found most boots came up too short on me... However mountain horse fit me perfectly. Didn't even need to get the long size either as their regulars I found to be the same as other makes long sizes. They are a bit pricey but I managed to find my supreme high riders for 250£ on rideaway when my tack shop wanted £360! A bargain I couldn't refuse!

I bought some Shires Norfolk boots for every day riding but to be fair they are really nice soft leather and look smart that I will wear them for competition. They were about £150. I find them very comfortable, long enough to take up my leg (i'm 5'9) but also don't irritate that bit at the back of my knee when mounting or jumping!

I can't afford them just now (cat vet bills), but Ariat and Tredstep both do "tall, slim" ones that fit me very well: I had a try at Blair. Brogini does varying heights and widths, and looked very promising as well.
