What do you all wear for every day riding & also competing?

I've had my brown Ariat short boots and chaps for years and they are starting to look a bit scruffy so I might invest!

In the Autumn/Winter I wear Ariat Coniston's long boots & in Spring/Summer I wear Ariat riding trainers with half chaps.

Luckily, the disciplines I take part & compete in don't require smart boots so I don't need a third pair!

I wear country boots for chores then ride in Mountain Horse Aurora boots they are long which I much prefer to short boots and chaps.

I have Mountain horse Vienna for shows although I have been wearing them a bit for everyday because the Aurora boots are not quite broken in yet ?

For lower leg/ ankle stability and also warm, waterproof and very smart I love my Ariat Bromonts. They’re brown so only wear with tweed. Use for every day and comps. The only thing is I don’t find them comfortable to walk in as presses on my Achilles’ tendon which is lumpy from a previous injury so I would only wear for riding. Also I find it harder to get my foot in stirrup if mounting from a low block so if I was doing something I had to get on and off a lot I’d wear something different.

I’ve got various combos though gathered over years so wear different stuff depending on time of year and what I’m doing. I’ve got black Ariat short boots with leather gaiters that I wear with my blue jacket. At the time it was a more affordable combo although still not cheap. In summer I usually wear Ariat Tellurides with synthetic gaiters but I put them on for a Trec clinic at the weekend and after wearing my Bromonts my legs felt loose and much more unstable. Grasmeres are a good yard to saddle boot for winter but not smart enough for competing.

I wear short boots with half chaps both everyday and for competing. I have a pair of leather gaiters for smart and a couple of pairs of suede half chaps. I like the flexibility

All year round for competing or clinics, I wear Bromonts (the insulated ones in winter and the old but decent ones in summer)

Everyday wear:
Summer, ariat jodh boots and gaiters.
Depths of winter it's my grassmeres
Spring and Autumn it's the Bromonts or Jodh boots combo, depending on weather and temps.

In summer I wear short black Ariats and black synthetic chaps, then in winter I wear wellies and change into my lovely warm long leather Busse brown boots for riding. I don't compete so the colour doesn't really matter, but I love my long boots and wear them day to day with jeans as well. It helps that they're comfy to walk in. I would wear them ALL the time if that didn't mean they'd be flthy and knackered.

Ariat short boots and chaps for everyday riding. Sometimes I ride in my Ariat Braemer GTX but I have the insulated short boots so they are warmer. Ariat Bromonts for competing

I have a pair of short Equitector ‘Equi Maestro’ which I wear with an old pair of chaps from shires. The Equitechtor boots have been fantastic! I picked them up years ago from a country show and have loved them ever since, they still look nearly new.
