Long boots - tell me it gets better?!

Over the weekend I succumbed to an offer which made a new pair of discontinued Konigs only £200. Having never had them before, I did some research and saw that they tend to come up big in the foot sizing, so I bought a half size smaller than what I would normally be.

The boots arrived today and I can barely tolerate them for 20 minutes before I feel like the circulation to my feet has been cut off! I was prepared for the calves to be stiff and tight but not the actual foot itself…I am seriously regretting my bargain basement buy.

I’ve ordered boot stretchers and some sort of spray but please please please someone tell me they will get better and stretch slightly to be tolerably wearable rather than “get them off me” tight as they currently are…

Any tips for how to improve the “user experience” would be very much appreciated!!!

I think iirc konigs are fairly flat footed. I have really high arches and have to be super careful with boots as length and width may fit but arch doesn't hopefully it's not that and yours settle down though

Sell them on if you can and get something that fits you better. Sounds like they need to really stretch Ur of shape. Unless you are in love and only put them on for 5 minutes of a test. If still sell though

They don’t make Konigs any more so there’s no more stock and no alternative sizes…I’m stuck between trying/hoping they will fit or putting them on eBay/vinted!
Ahhhh poop! 🤦🏼‍♀️well try stretching.

This is what I did to stretch mine, i gently wet the area. And put a small football in, pumped it up and let it dry , take the ball out and try them.
Might need to try and couple of times

Where is it on the foot that it’s tight? If it’s the length then sorry no. If it’s over the top..potential to stretch.

I've got a pair of Dubarry boots and the width of the foot is a bit narrow.

I found a company online who stretches boots, and I keep thinking I'll drop my boots off with them....

They are called The Ilkley Shoe Company - perhaps they'll be able to help?

It’s the bit over the top of my foot so hopefully I’ll be able to sort something out..!

I have a shoe stretcher like the ones cobblers have, that you slide in and wind outwards so the width of the shoe expands, but I don't know how you would get this down the shaft of a boot. Do they have zips?

Otherwise, maybe try to drench foot part inside and out with shoe stretcher spray and do the football thing that Barton Bountry suggested as well.

ps: I got a pair of discontinued De Niro Raffaello top boots just for comps, 75% off, and they're a tad too big and rub my heels, to the point of bleeding! but they look amazing.

Shoe stretcher spray can work very well, I've used it on long boots before with great success.

Is the insole removable? If it is and it's fairly thick then try taking it out and replacing it with a Thinline insole or something similar.

If you have a freezer drawer big enough and don’t mind folding at the ankle, fill small freezer bag with water and put in the foot part and into the freezer to freeze. Will stretch most leather
