Looking for some recommendations of long boots for riding. Probably around the £100-£200 mark, no more! I have short legs and am also very wide on the ball of my foot.

Thank you! :)

I have the Mark Todd competition boots. I have annoyingly short legs and wide-ish calves and the short wide fits a treat. They are comfy to ride in although, for me, there is a lack in support around the ankles but this is due to my size difference between calf/ankle.
Hope that helps!

If they're only for riding the Kanyon Gorse boots are fab, a friend has a pair in short wide & absolutely loves them. I'd like a pair myself tbh!

They will be for mainly riding, and shows but may also wear them round the yard a bit too. My problem is that I don't have wide calves, just wide feet! Will have a look at both of those boots, thank you!

i have a pair of these and LOVE them, super comfy , i could live in them!!!
edited to add, just seen you have wide feet!! these boots are really strong but soft and give on the feet, it's like wearing sturdy slippers( if that makes sense!)

Do you want every day boots or smart ones for competition? I too have very wide feet and have Toggi Calgaries for everyday (I love them) and Mountain Horse Firenze in a wide fitting for competition. The Firenzes are quite long so I've had to put a heel lift in them to stop them digging in the back of my knee but I think they do a short version (unfortunately the short version was too short for me!)

I'm looking for something that I can wear most days but ones that will scrub up well for competitions! Or am I looking for the impossible... :P

Try the mountain horse range they do a short/wide in every style. All the ones I tried on have been comfy enough for every day and quite a few are smart enough for competition. I've only not bought them (apart from the Firenzes which were reduced) as there were other cheaper options - I need the wide but not the short so maybe have more options than you e.g Toggi do a wide but not a short as far as I'm aware.
