Hello all - apologies is this has been done to death previously but I am looking for some tall boots for skinny calves.

I am struggling to find boots that are both long enough and skinny enough for my legs. I live in my ancient Ariat Grasmeres and they are just about long enough (when not bunched round my ankles), but I'm planning on starting to do unaff. dressage so looking for something more show appropriate and so far failing to find anything.

Calves are just over 12" at widest point and in my bare feet I'm 17.5" from floor to bottom of knee (where straight top boots would hit so more for dressage tops) - proper toothpick legs

Any help much appreciated! Thank you!

Ps. I know Ariat Bromont are probably my best bet but would love suggestions for something slightly less pricey...

I love my Ariats - but their long boots are not really long enough or slim enough in the ankle /calf for me.

I do have done Ariat gaiters - which look fab.

My old long boots are Brogini , super leather, really long lasting (they're about 13 years old now) and really nice and slim through the ankle :)

If your calf is 12" Bromonts will be too wide - I have 13" calf and 20" high and they were way too baggy for me

Mountain horse supreme high rider are very narrow - only boots I can get to fit without spending a fortune on made to measure

Might be worth trying Ariat gaiters/chaps? You must to try them on however. I was just in the shop getting some the other day and the sizing is a joke. I couldn't get the largest size in the CC ones to do up :o yet ended up with a very small size in the classic chaps. Really pleased with them and there should be something to fit you if the shop is well stocked.

I had exactly the same problem with my daughter. She is a size 6.5 shoe but her calves are 11 inches at their widest! Every boot she tried on swam around her calf and looked ridiculous. In the end we went for boots and gaiters from decathlon of all places and they look fabulous and fit beautifully. Good luck x

Try MH Supremes - I think they will be the answer. They do an XN calf. We've not found anyone yet too slim for these!

I have the exact same problem, ended up buying jodhpur boots and chaps. Ariat do a good range of chaps at all different sizes... I have the concord chaps and love them :)

Have you looked at the mark Todd long riding boots? I have long legs and normal sized calves (i think) but they come up tight so bought the wide fit ones - the standard ones might be worth a try.
Broginis are narrow too

I had a similar problem and gave up trying to find boots, but I would recommend Tredstep gaiters and boots if you've also got slightly narrow ankles. I had a nightmare of a time trying to find stuff that fitted as I've also got oddly wide but short feet (joy of joys) but Tredstep have worked for me! And they're super comfy too :)

Toggi Calvery - lovely boots and you can get the standard width that fit skinny legs or wide ones. Can get them online for about £60 :)
