I Have worked with horses for most of my life and am in my yard boots more often than not. I am yet to find a pair of boots that are comfortable round the yard and that I can ride in that have lasted more than a year!
I am aware that most long lasting boots aren't usually made for riding-I would normally put on jod boots and chaps for schooling, but want something I can go out for a hack in safely and comfortably.
I do have hunter wellies-which are great for yard work but give no warmth in winter, get sweaty in summer and are useless for riding in!
And any mucked type boots tend to be too clunky for riding in.
I think what I'm looking for is a long leather/leather type boot but that is maybe reinforced or coated in something at the foot as I find this is wear cracks develop, or where the boot comes away from the sole!
Any ideas anyone??
