Thanks to an incident with some clipper oil and my long leather boots, resulting in said boots now falling to pieces and rotting from the inside out, I need to invest in some new boots.

I rarely compete ATM but will be hunting a fair bit over this season, and will compete in the future so they need to be smart and competition-suitable. Which boots do people suggest?

I quite like the look of the Ariat Bromonts - any reviews?

I've got short legs so not much point in looking at lovely long elegant dressage boots, since I don't have lovely long elegant dressage legs! ;)

Thanks guys :)

If you fancy going the made to measure route I can recommend Equitector - they do dressage top or straight top boots made to your template. They were great for me, I'm 5'2 with stumpy legs so find it very hard to get off the shelf boots that are the right length! Can do it all on line too, it walks you through the measuring process. And no I don't work for them, I was just impressed with the service :)

Vote here for the ariat bromonts! They are fab I love mine and have always been happy with ariats finding they last for years. If you go for the insulated pair - also very handy in the winter and for hunting, nothing worst than having cold feet!
