Hia,
I'm getting a new pair of boots but I don't know which ones to go for,Brogini long leather boots or jodhpur boots and gaiters.I really like the long leather boots,it has a lace front and a patent top,but would you get more sweaty in long leather boots than jodhpur boots with gaiters? And which would be more comfortable?Does anyone have experience with Brogini boots?

I think your feet will sweat whatever you wear. My personal preference is long boots as I find them more supportive of my previously broken tib and fib.

Have never had a pair of long-leather boots as I've got funny shaped legs and every single boot I've ever tried on seems to have been far too long in the leg for me!

So I go for the joddie boots & leggings option; much cheaper and far more comfy IMO.

Plus the fact that if you DO get a pair of boots and they don't last you as long as you'd expected, i.e. the sole wears or detaches etc, you haven't wasted such a lot of money and only have to replace a pair of joddie boots.

I tend to be casual and don't "do" formal: a pair of Ariat joddie boots and endurance/mesh leggings are the most coolest thing you can ride in. Would think long boots would be terribly hot for the summer.

Can't recommend the Equitector boots high enough - I have reasonably narrow size 11 1/2 feet and needed a more custom fit both foot and leg (which is a service they offer as well as standard sizes), I prefer long boots as just never got on with jod boots and gaiters. 3 Years on and still in one piece despite being stood on by clumsy hooves and brush up nicely when required (obviously just general looking after when you've used them).
As to any hot/cold feet - mine always stop at a nice ambient temperature.

End of the day it's each to their own and what feels most comfortable.

I have both.

I use the Bromonts for going out, x/c or in winter and the Ariat close contact chaps & Ariat jodh boots for every day.
I find that the gaiters fit even more snugly than the boots (but they are 'close contact ones' and hold my leg better as support (also broke my leg at end of last year)

:)

Same as above, for everyday I have an ancient pair of Ariat heritage short boots and also Ariat telluride trainer/walking type boors with Dublin mesh chaps for summer, depending on whether I'm hacking or schooling, and bromonts for best - I'm too scared to wear them every day, plus they are the insulated ones. I also have a pair of Ariat Grasmeres that I occasionally ride in but they are hot in the summer! Love Ariat boots.
