Does anyone know of a decent, not too pricey make of riding boot for someone whos legs are a tad chubbier than they should be? My Calf measures 41cm at the widest point and i'm having real trouble finding boots to fit!!! Thanks!xx

Hi,
My calves are wider than yours & I managed to get some from Derby House about 3 years ago. They are made by Sarm Hippique and are XXW fitting. At the time they were about £200. I went to the store though, didn't want to rely on mail order in case they didn't fit!

Why not buy a really smart pair of boots and chaps, the chaps come with elastic inserts down the back. The ariat one's look very good and they might fit better.

I also have v chubby legs, and use Ariat boots & gaiters, which are fab. Would like a long pair of leather boots though so will bear Sarm Hippiques in mind!

i have massive calves and the sarm hippques fit me really well were about £400 though (i really would like some of those trentorn boots but i dont know if they cater for bestly legs like mine????) i also have some tredstep gaiter which were bout £150 and fit really well apart from maybe a bit long (im 5"8 so not small!!!)

Blimey I was hoping for some £100 options! Might have to start saving or give up on the idea of showing for now... eeek!x

I have short legs with big calves. I brought Equetector long leather boots and they are absolutely fabulous. I am selling a new pair size 5 if any good to you.

I think i may have found the answer- brousing the net at work- woops! Rhinegold do XW calf that measures 41cm- i've bitten the bullet and bought some on-line (eek) will let you know the result! BFG i also find the think soles on Mountain Horse not to my liking which is a shame as i like their boots apart from that! Thanks everyone!!
