Long leather riding boots

Just out of interest can I ask why not mountain horse? I have a pair of the sportive ones and I'm not that overly happy with them. I actually ride much better with my cheap rubber boots. My moutain horse boots are very slippery and I end up swinging my leg loads, but they are very comfy though!
 
I broke my foot twice in them and the doctor had a look at them and the breaks were right above where the steel shank lies in the sole. He could believe that it was in the sole of a boot said I might as well have jumped onto an iron bar. So have moved on to ariats which are soooo much more comfy and supportive.
 
That's interesting to know! I've got something wrong with my left leg so thought they would be very supportive for it. They do support my leg but I don't ride very well with boots on and constantly lose my stirrups. With my rubber boots I never do. Thanks for the rely!
 
Love my Moutain horse classic high rider (the new comp boots). they look really smart and find them excellent support and for my position!

The Ariats are nice aswell, but not as high cut as the Mountain horse ones.
