Long line recommendations

I want to buy a new long line and wondered the best place to buy one and the best length, I want one that is fairly wide so no thin cheese slicers please.

I like a 50ft line, any longer and you will get tangled but it's still a good length for a free run. Avoid cotton webbing, it gets heavy when wet and the dye leaches out and stains your hands. The Ancol ones are the cheese slicer nylon rope ones.

Thanks for that Ive been trying to order one for the last hour from ebay, cant remember my password its 50ft long webbing not cotton and black same as my gloves and its 1 inch wide. I thought if it was any wider it would take out the Lancashire Heeler.

I use a cottage craft lunge line - it's very grippy

I have a lunge line too but they just suck up moisture and get really heavy.....

Well I ordered the one that BC recommended at 12pm Tuesday night and was delighted to receive it this morning., what service and it looks great.
