Long Newnton Fun Ride

Anybody been before and can shed some light on what it's like or anyone planning on going?

Just found it on the internet and might use it as a "practice run" before the Badminton Ride.

I went last year and it was quite nice Were plenty of stubble fields and places for a good canter and gallop. Plenty of space to park up etc and well organised. Not a HUGE amount of jumps, but started off nice little rustic pole worker type fences, then onto xc fences about 1ft and to about 3ft by the end I'd guess?

Was one really really overgrown woody bit we had to go through, some really steep fields and a few bits through roads...but other than that was a really nice ride!

The photo's from last year should still be online - cotswold photography I think it was. I'm the second rider on both of the ones on the bay with the star haha

Jumps sounds good, the last thing you want is jumps that start at 1' and finish at 1' or ones that start huge and don't get lower!

Cheers! Not mine tho,, the landlady's horse. She took one and I took her other, first time I'd jumped him haha!
