Hello All

We will be showing our Coloured Traditional Pony under saddle this year. The rider is over 21, and IMO the overall picture looks better with jodhpur boots, as opposed to long boots.

Are short jodhpurs ok for riders over 21 in the BSPA and CHAPS pony classes? Or, are long boots seen to be more appropriate?

Don't know about those societies specifically but quite a few adults who show small breed m&ms ride in short boots if it looks better. How about checking out photos of the relevant class from some of the champs or bigger shows, equinational is usually my frame of reference for clothes and turnout!

not sure about traditionals but deffinatly in m&m's ponies (small breeds) are ridden in short boots and the large breeds are ridden in long boots irrespective of the age of the adult rider.

Cheers guys.

Most do ride in long boots, you do see the one or two about in short boots though.

First time we've had anything in the unders class; hence this situation.
