Saturday 13 Apr - Saturday 27 Apr

Through mid to late April, there is no strong signal for any one particular weather pattern to dominate over another. As such, further rain and showers are likely at times, but there is also a reasonable chance of some drier and sunnier spells of weather. Temperatures most likely near or a little above normal.

Well it looks wet here for the next few weeks, literally rain forecast every day next week. April seemingly another washout. Have given up feeling guilty about horses hardly going out now 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm in the South West and apparently we have "three weeks of solid rain" coming our way soon.

Tho' apparently it will be dryer up North.

Just what we all wanted to hear.
I have two friends who keep their horses in mid Devon. They’ve had four times as much rain as normal so far this winter/spring. 😞

Everytime they forecast any hope of a better spell it seems to be 2 or 3 weeks away and seems to disappear as you reach it.
I am seriously worried about hay/ haylege making this year I know it's a way off but only 1 of our hay fields is likely to be ready to cut in June (we have had a good cut in June the last 3 years ) and the other big one I am still grazing and can't come off to harrow roll and rest until the other grazing is a lot drier so unlikely to be ready to cut until August at the earliest ( never a great month weather wise for hay making).
Because of the weather peoples hay/haylege reserves have been used up and already it's hard to find hay to buy .
I am being asked constantly if I have any to sell and at present what I have I need to keep for my own use.
We have tickets for Badminton and after the mud bath last year I am concerned it's going the same way again.
It's all so very depressing
Can't get too excited as I have been sucked in before only for the promised better spell to disappear!

Our forecast seems to be going the other way (for the first time literally ever!)

We were told cold wet sleet and misery for Easter, it's 13-15'C bright blue skies and a nice breeze that the ground has dried completely.
It's forecasting rain as far as the eye can see ahead on the apps but it's been going wrong in our favour all week. I have been drying all my clothes outside the last 10 days and horses are getting out and ridden.
Usually one or two torrential heavy showers that last 10 mins max and stop.

It's so strange 🤷‍♀️

Feel the same about Badminton!! It was awful last year I’m reluctant to go back!!!

Last year was so dreadful we were on the campsite and although we got off under our own steam (others waited hours to be towed off) we cause some damage to the underneath of the Land rover .
Wednesday Thursday and Friday were lovely but after the rain on Saturday it was a sea of mud both on the caravan site and all around the shopping village.
I am just praying we get a spell of dry weather before Badminton starts.

Today was lovely, tomorrow looks nice but the whole of next week from midnight tomorrow is wet.

Buying a horse with 4 white legs was a bad call!!
Haha snap! 😂

Yep wet all week according to our forecast…

Omg u lot I was trying to be positive. 😂

Tbf the next 2 weeks on my forecast is wet every day after today. Cracking on with sand turnout as feel no winter turnout might be a real possibility going forward.

Yesterday was nice (I had to work in the morning ☹️)
We have rain forecast for the whole of April.
Oh, no, correction: the last week of April is ok.

On the plus side, all reservoirs in the region are full to the brim!

It feels like we've been stuck in winter since last winter and it isn't getting any brighter....that said it was forecasted to rain all Easter weekend and it hasn't. We've had quite a few sunny spells....with some rain today but managed to cut the grass twice in the past 10 days (once on the highest setting possible and poor little mower needed a break and once today before the rain on a much lower setting but still challenged the mower).
