After a long and very boring year so far we seem to be getting somewhere with Happy's back. I am back on board and doing lots and lots of walking up and down hills. The physio, who hunts with us, said why didn't we do some long reining up our farm drive - its a mile and a half up a gentleish hill with 2 steep bits. She said it would do him the world of good and help his back no end.

So... last night we set out for the first time. OH came with 2 terriers and my dog came too. We went up and down a couple of times and Happy was brilliant. He was so obedient and i really enjoyed it. My feet did hurt a bit when I got back but still!!

I'm aiming to do it twice a week and go a bit further each time. I was slightly concerned at how hard I'd find it but it was really good exercise. I also really enjoyed working with Happy on the ground - its something I've never really done and it was really lovely to spend time with him doing something like that.

Bit of a pointless post but still!!!
