Long reining / Classical Groundwork / Straightness training

I'm just bringing my horse back into work after time off due to lameness and saddle issues. He's lost top line and isn't really using himself very well. I've bee long reining, but I only know basics. Want to do some more in hand work with him and know you can get to the point of doing some quite sophisticated dressage stuff, but I need some help. Anyone know of any trainers or instructors who might be able to help me in Hampshire / Dorset / Wiltshire way?
Any other top tips from people?

I don't know whereabouts in the Hampshire/Dorset/Wiltshire area you are, but my trainer (based in Tadley in Hampshire) is very knowledgeable about groundwork and long reining.

If you watch the really good people long rein, they walk in step with their horses back legs, pretty much between them - thats what I try to practise with mine, makes you focus on doing long strides! I've had a lesson or two and it was great, only did some basic leg yielding, but it was fun watching my horse from the ground, did involve some coordination with all the reins though! Sorry can't offer any lcoal recommendations for you

Google Klaus Schoneich. I went to a clinic of his and it was amazing to see the transformation in my horse through correct lungeing. There are some clinics coming up I believe. There's also a very good book called Schooling exercises in hand by Oliver Hilberger.

It appears the clinic on 8th feb is full anyway, but they will do another in March, it is something I have been pondering doing with my lad to keep him flexible without my lump on top. Am in Wilts so I think I may well try and go up in March .
